Our History
The Manchester Fire Support Group continues the rich legacy of service established by the Eighth District Fire Department. We honor the traditions that have united our community for generations, actively engaging residents through beloved events like The Peach Festival and Christmas Tree Lot, which showcase the department’s vital role in fostering community spirit. As we look to the future, we remain committed to being helpful and supportive neighbors, ensuring that this spirit of service thrives for generations to come.
Our Mission
The support group will uphold the tradition of community service established over a century ago by the Eighth District Fire Department. Through active engagement and a commitment to helping our neighbors, we aim to strengthen our community. We will continue cherished events like The Peach Festival and Christmas Tree Lot while providing vital support to those affected by fires and emergencies. By fostering meaningful connections, we create a safer and more vibrant environment for all.
Our Vision
We will strive to enhance the Manchester community by expanding events and services that engage and support residents. We aim to develop programs that foster connections and provide meaningful assistance while collaborating with the local fire department to ensure they are well-equipped during emergencies. Together, we envision a future where community spirit flourishes, and everyone feels empowered to contribute to a supportive and resilient environment.
